2 in 3 MAGA voters say they’d support GOP candidate accused of sexual assault: Poll

66% of MAGA voters (those who last backed Trump) said they'd still support a Republican accused of sexual assault over a Democrat, while 9% would pick the Democrat and 25% would pick neither.
Among broader Republican-leaning respondents, 42% would back the accused GOP candidate, 11% would pick the Democrat and 47% said they'd choose neither — showing more hesitation outside the MAGA core.
The results come from a Politico poll (July 13–15, n=2,061, margin of error ±2.2 points) and arrive amid ongoing controversies tied to Trump, including a 2023 jury finding and his connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
