Lula's lead over Flavio Bolsonaro narrows ahead of Brazil election, Quaest poll shows

Lula and Bolsonaro are essentially tied in a simulated runoff — 42% to 41% — within Quaest’s 2-point margin of error.
In a first-round scenario Lula leads with 37% and Bolsonaro has 30%, while author/psychiatrist Augusto Cury has surged to 10% after TV appearances and strong social media.
The Quaest poll surveyed 2,004 people between Aug. 30–Sept. 1, signaling a tightening race ahead of October.
