Unearthed medieval ring goes on display at museum

A metal detectorist unearthed a 14th‑century gold finger ring in Bourton and Draycote, Warwickshire, and it's now on display at Rugby Art Gallery & Museum.
The ring features a dark red cabochon stone in an oval bezel with incised circles and grooves—quite a striking medieval find.
It was recorded by the Portable Antiquities Scheme and declared "treasure," and local councillors note it predates Rugby’s original St Andrew’s Church.
