Red Sox Infielder Curtis Mead To Miss Time With Broken Left Wrist Injury

Curtis Mead, recently acquired from Washington, broke his left wrist after being hit by a pitch in his second at-bat — his first game with the Red Sox.
Initial X-rays were negative but follow-up tests confirmed the injury; he'll miss an undetermined amount of time and Nick Sogard was recalled to fill his roster spot.
