North Korea launches another missile toward sea ahead of US-South Korean military drills

North Korea fired a ballistic missile from Wonsan that flew about 700 km — its second test in under a week, seen as a protest of upcoming South Korea–U.S. drills.
South Korea, the U.S. and Japan detected the launch; Japan strongly protested and said the missile landed outside its exclusive economic zone.
Analysts say Pyongyang often times tests around joint exercises and is expanding its arsenal while strengthening ties with China and Russia.
