The U.S. military struck a suspected drug-smuggling boat in the Caribbean on Tuesday, killing four people as part of a months‑long campaign against alleged traffickers.
The campaign has now killed at least 227 people in 68 boat strikes since it began, a strikingly high toll that’s raised attention.
