Angels Trade Logan O'Hoppe, Chase Silseth To Rangers For Prospect Angel Arredondo

Angels traded reliever Chase Silseth and catcher Logan O’Hoppe to the Texas Rangers for 19-year-old minor league third baseman Angel Arredondo.
The deal, announced before Wednesday’s game, is being framed by the Angels’ front office as potentially “day one” of a roster shake-up amid a 42-66, AL-worst season.
Silseth had been a reliable reliever (3-2, 2.72 ERA in 47 games), O’Hoppe struggled at the plate (.209), and Arredondo hit .247 with 8 homers in low-A this year.
