Malaysia envoy summoned by US over Israel policy, Bernama says

Malaysia's ambassador was summoned by the U.S. State Department after Kuala Lumpur reiterated its long‑standing policy of not recognising Israel.
The dispute was triggered by scrutiny of a U.S.‑founded "digital nomad" program; authorities said a U.S.–Israeli dual national who entered on a U.S. passport was asked to leave and the program was shut down.
Eight U.S. congressmen warned of consequences, urging a review of security/economic ties and threats to cut U.S. military training funds unless Malaysia reverses the deportation plan.
