Turkey told Russia to avoid steps threatening security, interests in Black Sea

Turkey urged Russia to avoid actions in the Black Sea that threaten regional security and Turkish interests, and discussed navigational safety.
Ankara reiterated its offer to host and mediate fresh Ukraine–Russia talks to try to restart negotiations.
Turkey is balancing cordial ties with both Moscow and Kyiv, has protested attacks near its coast, and will host a NATO summit in July.
