Buccaneers DT Vita Vea Requests Trade Following Stalled Extension Talks

Vita Vea has formally requested a trade after extension talks with the Buccaneers stalled; he’s entering the final year of his 2022 deal but will still show up for camp (no holdout).
Vea is one of the NFL’s top interior defenders and a two-time Pro Bowler — a key piece of Tampa Bay’s strong run defense and their Super Bowl LV run.
He’d prefer a West Coast move (California or the Las Vegas Raiders); it’s unclear whether Tampa Bay and Vea can reconcile or if this turns into a major trade.
