Don't Put Alex Palou On INDYCAR's Mount Rushmore Just Yet

Alex Palou has been dominant lately — four straight titles (five of the last six), an Indy 500 win, and 14 victories over the past two seasons.
Still, his career totals lag the all-time greats: five championships (third all-time) but only 25 wins (tied for 17th) and one Indy 500, so he isn’t yet on the author’s INDYCAR “Mount Rushmore.”
The writer thinks Palou will almost certainly make that Mount Rushmore in a few years (maybe 2028–29) if he keeps winning and adapts to the new INDYCAR era.
