'Disruptive' passenger restrained on Jet2 flight dies

A passenger on a Jet2 flight from Larnaca to Manchester was restrained by fellow travellers and crew after allegedly assaulting another passenger and a cabin crew member; he was handcuffed by police on landing and later died in hospital.
Officers began CPR after finding the 35-year-old unresponsive; he died the next day and the circumstances of the in-flight incident are under investigation.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is reviewing the officers' actions while Greater Manchester Police continue their own inquiries; the man’s family described him as a devoted father of three.
