Poland asks EU to fine Meta €250 million, urges action against scams and false ads

Poland has asked the European Commission to impose a €250 million fine on Meta, accusing it of failing to tackle fraudulent ads.
Poland’s CERT found 122 scam ads; Meta removed just 10, and closed 86.8% of reports without removal.
The move follows lawsuits and a Warsaw appellate ruling holding Meta responsible for hosted ads — Meta hasn’t yet commented.
