TPS protections terminated for Myanmar, South Sudan migrants

Two U.S. district judges rejected challenges to Temporary Protected Status, and DHS announced TPS for South Sudan and Myanmar will end effective Aug. 7, putting some migrants at risk of deportation.
The change affects roughly 4,200 people currently in the U.S. under TPS.
The move follows a recent Supreme Court ruling and reverses protections that had been granted because of violent, unsafe conditions in South Sudan and Myanmar.
