Rash of tornadoes tears through the Midwest, killing at least 2

Multiple tornadoes ripped through the Midwest (notably Illinois and Indiana), killing at least two people and destroying homes, including mobile homes in Jefferson County, Illinois.
The storms caused widespread damage and power outages across the region and produced extreme wind gusts — up to 102 mph recorded near Oklahoma City.
The same system is moving east into the mid-Atlantic and Appalachians, so damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and flash flooding remain possible — stay alert for watches and warnings.
