Dave Aranda Done In Waco: Baylor Reportedly Fires Head Coach In Midst Of 7th Season

Baylor fired head coach Dave Aranda midseason after a blown 11-point fourth-quarter lead to Kansas left the Bears 4-3.
Defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman will serve as interim coach as Baylor faces a tough stretch (UCF, BYU, Texas Tech, Houston).
Aranda’s peak was a 12-2 season and Sugar Bowl win in 2021, but recent struggles (only two bowl-eligible years in four) put him among several Power Conference coaches dismissed this season.
