Widow faces impossible choice as bereavement payments end

A widowed mum in Fife says she must either sell the family home or return to work and put her two grieving sons into full-time childcare after bereavement payments ended.
She is campaigning for longer, increased bereavement support and is among petitioners (100,000 signatures) taking the case to Downing Street.
She fears the emotional impact on her boys — less time with their mum, loss of activities — arguing 18 months of support isn't enough.
