Curt Cignetti: Indiana Can Play ND At Home 'Since They're Not In A Conference'

A planned 2030–31 home-and-home between Indiana and Notre Dame was canceled — Hoosiers coach Curt Cignetti said he’s disappointed and cheekily suggested ND should come to Bloomington more since they’re independent.
Indiana just won its first-ever national championship under Cignetti and has gone 27–2 over two seasons, making the College Football Playoff both years.
Notre Dame beat Indiana in the 2024 playoff and leads the all-time series big (Indiana 5–24–1); Indiana’s last win in Bloomington against ND was in 1950.
