- Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz compared Jeremiah Smith’s physical impact to Saquon Barkley and even pointed to Randy Moss-like red-zone dominance — high praise for toughness and playmaking.
- Smith is now Ohio State’s all-time leader in receiving yards and had a monster 12-catch, 217-yard, 4-TD outing vs. Illinois; he’s on pace to break OSU records in receptions and TDs.
- The matchup adds intrigue: Iowa’s defense is top in the Big Ten, and while OSU has historically dominated the series, Smith is the X-factor who’s tough to contain.
